PRIMAVERA HOTEL & CONGRESS CENTRE – THE CONFERENCE HOTEL

The Plzeň organizing crew have arranged accommodation pre-reservations and negotiated discounts for the TSD2023 participants in the beautiful family-run 4-star conference hotel Primavera Hotel & Congress Centre where all the TSD2023 lectures and presentations will take place.

The hotel is conveniently located in a calm suburb of Plzeň. It is surround by greenery and peaceful residential area. It is very easy to get anywhere from there by car as it is close to the D5 (Prague ←→ Nuremberg) motorway feeder road. Right in front of the hotel, there is a public transport stop from where it takes some 10 – 15 minutes to get to the main railway station or to the city centre and trolleybuses go regularly throughout the whole day.

The hotel has a large private car park, is fully covered by wi-fi, and fully air conditioned. It is also widely renowned for its excellent Czech and international cuisine.

How to get there from the main railway station:
The conference hotel is easily accessible by Plzeň public transport. Follow the instructions below:

1. Leave the main railway station using the subway passage to the north (follow the signs with a tram stop graphics), walk some 100 meters to the tram stop named Hlavní nádraží (SAMPA: h\lavJi: na:draZi:, meaning: the main railway station), GPS: 49°44'40.733"N, 13°23'09.256"E.
2. Wait for a tram no. 1 going in the direction Slovany (there is a big lettering on the front of the tram). Get on, buy one 30-min ticket for 20 CZK per person in the machine located right next to the middle door (accepts VISA/EC/MC cards), and go all the way to the terminal station Slovany. Get off there.
3. Walk on just some 100 meters to the trolleybus stop and wait for the trolleybus no. 13 headed to Černice (SAMPA: t_SErJIt_sE) or K Losiné (SAMPA: k'losInE:). Get on. Your ticket should be still valid (it is valid for 30 minutes, no matter whether you change lines or not) – if not (unlikely), buy a new one in the trolleybus.
4. Go to the stop named Čechurov (SAMPA: t_SExurof) – it is the 4th stop from the tram terminal.
5. Walk back some 250 meters to the Primavera Hotel.

BUDGET-WISE OPTION

KOLEJE LOCHOTÍN – STUDENT RESIDENCE/DORMITORY

The local organizers have also arranged a budget-wise accommodation in the student residence Koleje L1 a L2 Lochotín. This is an option for those who have a restricted accommodation budget. The number of rooms in the dormitory is limited (5 two-bed rooms) and the rooms will be booked on the "first come, first served" basis. Priority will be given to student participants, those coming from economically less powerful states, and those who applied for an ISCA grant. For reservations, please contact the reception manager Ms Vostracká using e-mail gvostrac@skm.zcu.cz and refer to TSD2023.

The price is about 600 CZK (25 EUR) per night in the single room, and about 400 CZK (17 EUR) per night for one person in the double room. Please, try to do your best to make the reservations of the student residence rooms no later than on 15 August 2023.

Getting easily to the conference venue: It looks like the dormitory is too far away from the conference hotel. However, don't worry – it is very easy to get there by Plzeň public transport:

1. From the dormitory, walk about 2 mins to the tramway stop named Lékařská fakulta (SAMPA: lE:kaP\ska: fakulta, meaning: the faculty of medicine), GPS: 49°45'42.915"N, 13°22'13.908"E.
2. Wait for a tram no. 1 going in the direction Slovany (there is a big lettering on the front of the tram).
