Product description
This software was developed under the project PUNTIS (LO1506) funded by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and it is based on the results achieved in the EU funded project VPHOP (FP7-ICT-223865). Its current version automatically reconstructs fibres in the whole volume of a muscle from those selectively sampled on the superficial layer providing that a 3D surface model of the muscle is available. Muscles having multiple heads or large attachment areas with an extremely acute pennation angle are supported. This is done using the algorithm described in Kohout J, Cholt D. Automatic reconstruction of the muscle architecture from the superficial layer fibres data. Computer Methods and Programs in Biomedicine 2017, 150:85-95. https://doi.org/10.1016/j.cmpb.2017.08.002.
