For a diabetes treatment solution, we need effective data visualization. There are two main groups of visualization techniques - one for the patient and one for the scientist/physician to assess the treatment. In this project, you will study (1) relevant visualization techniques, (2) SmartCGMS framework for diabetes research and treatment (developed by scientists at our department), and (3) the integration of such techniques into the graphical interface of SmartCGMS.
Relevant visualizations include:
1) time-series plot
2) 24-hour overview (time series wrapped every 24 hours)
3) Ambulatory Glycemic Profile (AGP)
4) error-grid analysis (EGA, namely Clarke's and Parkes's grid analysis)
5) reduced multipart time-series plot (for e.g., mobile devices)
6) empirical cumulative distribution function (ECDF)
and more.
Languages and techniques: C++, Qt, vector graphics (SVG as an output format)
