1964 MSc. in El.Eng. Pilsen. From 1964 at Dept. of Cybernetics (Pilsen). 1981 PhD in Comp.Sc. Prague. 1988 - 1990 assoc. prof. at Dept. of Comp. Sc. and Eng. (Pilsen). 1990 - 1992 deputy of Federal Assembly. 1993 - 2008 head of Comp. Sc. and Eng. Dept. Research interests: Theory of formal languages and compilers, operating systems theory, programming languages, database and knowledge-base systems. Now full professor at Comp.Sc & Eng. Dpt. interested in text mining and data mining. Member of ACM, IEEE Comp. Soc., scientific councils of faculty and university, commission for state examination and PhD defence at TU Prague, Acad.of Sc. Prague and UWB Pilsen.
