SW description:

Height Map Viewer is a complex software tool designed for exploration of samples engraved into the surface of any material and measured by the confocal microscope. It enables particularised surface exploration, admeasurements of sample heights and distances, comparison of samples, computation of various statistics, showing 2D and 3D views of the surface, etc.

The tool originates from the laser engraving modelling and simulation research, is developed in Java and is usable not only for engraved samples, but also for viewing of any height maps represented in a described input format.

System requirements: Java 1.6 (or higher)
Java3D instalation

Downloads: Height Map Viewer 2.0
data example - SampleData.csv

Instalation: SW needs no instalation, just unpack the ZIP file and run the run_en.bat file.
If needed, BAT file can be changed - parameters can be adjusted according to following table:

Sample surface visualization:

Visualization mode enables exploring and preprocessing of explored sample, its visualization and offers also many specialized functiones, such as:

  • 2D visualization
  • 3D visualization
  • admeasurements
  • cross-lines relieves generating
  • detection of laser engraved area

Comparison of samples:

Comparison mode enables to compare two samples from different points of view.
